He added that the attack was suspected to have been carried out by a group of gas mills working for an Ejule man in Offu LGA in Koji State.

He said he was aware of the activities of the ruling Yaha Belo government in the jungle as the suspected Ejule mills faced Iroquois and their economic trees.

It is learned that these groups are invading the community at will, drinking free beer in their restaurants, killing their pets whenever they are hungry and leaving the community unharmed.

Some members of the community suspect that the recent attack on a group of free drinkers at a community restaurant on Facebook could be responsible for the attack.

In response, Eugene Community Security Committee Chairman Goon Omale described the devastation inflicted on the Eugene-Egume community as terrorism.

He urged the government to intensify its efforts to bring the matter to the attention of the authorities.

Police Public Relations Officer DSP William Ayah confirmed the attack on the community over the weekend, saying one person was shot and is currently receiving medical attention.

PPRO said police are working diligently to arrest the perpetrators and ensure calm has returned to the community.
