Singer-songwriter David Adeleke announced on Saturday that he has donated N250m to orphans across Nigeria.

According to the singer, the money came from the N100m test in N201m in three days.

Making the ad through him Instagram Page, Davido announces plans to increase N50m in donations from fans and partners

In all, David is committed to supporting orphans across Nigeria for a total of N250m.

On Wednesday, David asked his friends and fans to donate N1m each to his birthday.

Although the goal was to earn N100m, the singer received more than N53m in transfers in less than an hour after asking his colleagues for N1m.

Following his successful contribution, the singer decided to give back to the community.

David also promised to set up a five-member committee to oversee the distribution of the funds.

Celebrities who donated money to David

Among the donors are Nigerian businessmen Obi Cubana and Femi Otedola. The singer, however, did not disclose the amount of money sent, such as Femi Otedola, Obi Cuban, e-money, patroning and others.
