Senate Majority Leader Gernoth Rohr, who is a senior member of the Senate and former Abyssinian governor, said he would be replaced if he was not good enough.

The senator recalled that he had rejected an offer from the German tactician to coach Inimba Football Club during his tenure.

He lamented that Nigeria, both at home and abroad, is struggling to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.

“Over the last five years we have wasted our time on football. There is nothing new to do.

“It is heartbreaking to see so many professional players at home and abroad fighting for the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.

“Gernot Rohr is not a good coach and I still don’t understand why he is running Super Eagles.

“When I was in power, he applied for a job as a coach for Inimba. Oscar Udoji brought him to Nigeria but I did not try to hire him.

“I am calling on NFF Chairman Amaju Pinnik to wake up and seek Roher’s replacement immediately.

“We football fans don’t need more satisfaction in the game, we have the capacity to be proud of ourselves.

“If the problems you face this year are similar to last year, then you are not a leader.

The senator said: “You are the one who has to solve the problem on your own Facebook.
